Our new family member

Meet the newest member of our family (Jefferson)..... Rob found this little guy while sitting at Rylee's football practice, apparently he had fallen out of his nest and he didn't look to good, so Rob brought him home and now we are nursing him back to health. He's such a cute little guy and only churps when he is hungry....witch happens to be every 10 minutes or so.....Rylee wanted to name him Jefferson because he was found at Thomas Jefferson Jr. High.

The Briggs Family Reunion

On Saturday we went to ByWater Park for the Briggs Family Reunion, there was a "Red Neck" Slip'n'slide for the kids. Troy and his friend were in charge, and so of course they hurled the kids down as fast as they could. Liam was so small he would FLY down the hill and almost crash into the fence, but it didn't even phase him.....he's a wild child!

Later they poured a whole bottle of soap down the slide and turned it into a bubble fest. They had a blast!!!!

Pioneer Day @ Liberty Park

We went with the Moore's to Liberty Park on Thursday to watch the fireworks. Rylee looks bummed in all of the pictures because his glow sticks kept breaking.

Rylee, Zowie & Cousins

Our Silent Angel

This is our daughter Zowie. She is three years old and has Rett Syndrome. It it a neurodevelopmental disorder seen almost always in girls. It is often misdiagnosed as Autism or Cerebral Palsy. Zowie developed normally until the age of one and then slowly regressed and lost all of her motor skills. She is unable to walk, talk, or use her hands purposefully. We may not know why this has happened to our sweet little girl but we are truly grateful to have been blessed with her and her sweet little spirit. She has taught us more than we can express and we adore her.

" I thought I would have to teach my daughter about the world,
it turns out I have to teach the world about my daughter.

They see a girl who can not talk,
I see a miracle who doesn't need words."

What a STUD!!!!!

Rylee's team won first place this year and he made it to all-stars. He was the home run king of the whole pee-wee league and had a batting average of 771. We are so proud of him. He's AWESOME!!!!!
