Thank you :)

Well we have finally named the dog.....(for those of you that care)

His name is HUEY.
I liked the name Lewy...Rylee liked Huey...so he actually goes by the name Huey Lewy.......Rob calls him Huey Lewy & the news....Ha, Ha isn't he so cleaver :P

Piper is in love, and she thinks he is her little puppy...they are really good with each other

And no matter how frustrated I get cleaning up accidents around the house, and chewed up shoes....it's all worth it because Zowie LOVES her little doggie. She lights up every time Huey comes around, they even take naps together.

The 4th of July

I LOVE summer.....and I think the 4th has got to be one of my favorite holidays! This year was probably the funnest by far......We spent all day up at my sisters house, and even Cory & Steph were able to make it this year. Her neighborhood puts on this big production that begins with a pancake breakfast followed by a parade put on by all the kids with their decorated bikes, scooters, strollers, whatever....and then it's off to a carnival with games, cotton candy, snow cones, popcorn...you name it.....needless to say, the kids were in sugar heaven!!!! After the carnival, we went back to Michelle's house for lunch, swimming, relaxing, and fun. Later in the day the boys went Golfing, and when they got back it was the girls turn...so we went shopping and out to dinner at Z-tejas mmmmm, yummy : ) When we got back it was time for fireworks....so we walked over to Sugarhouse park. It ended up being a really fun day, and I think the kids really enjoyed themselves!

We have decided that this is going to be our yearly tradition :) I can't wait for next year!

Let the parade begin......

What should we name him?

Rob has been begging me to get ANOTHER dog for quite some time now. He says that Piper needs a friend to play with when were gone....and this one will be so much easier to train.....And he is going to feed it, take care of it, potty train it.....Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah, Blah......I stood my ground for months & months telling him, "NO ROB, we are NOT getting another dog"......but I caved, and like a sucker I saw this little guy for sale (at a great price I might add) and I could not resist that cute little puppy face. I surprised Rob with him for fathers day and I sure hope I don't end up regretting it.....but now we need to name him....The poor thing is starting to respond to "Puppy". So, here are a few names we came up with, but if you have any suggestions feel free to tell :).

Ha, you'd think we were trying to name our kid or something :]

Memorial Weekend

Yes, I know, I've been such a slacker lately, and Memorial weekend has come and gone ages ago, but Baseball has consumed my life, and I get so far behind on Bloging it becomes overwhelming just thinking about it. So here is my attempt at catching up....

We decided to go to Yellowstone with my family for Memorial Weekend. I had a BLAST!!!!! It is SO Beautiful this time of year. The weather was PERFECT and the Ranger told us that we would have the best chance seeing a Bear because they were just coming out of hibernation. Well.....I got to see my first Bear in the wild (three, in fact)...... A momma bear with her baby up on a hill, and then a young bear that had broken it's leg was laying under a tree. But as my luck would have it, I didn't have my camera on me.

I had some videos to post, but I am unable to upload them for some reason.

This was a coyote walking down the middle of the road

Baby Bison

No I'm not scared......

Old Faithful Inn

Waiting to see Old Faithful Geyser

This was right after we got yelled at by the tree huggers for being "disrespectful" to the animals. Apparently we were too close, and were giving the Elk anxiety.

HELLO, we were in YELLOWSTONE. I'm pretty sure the animals are pretty use to people invading their space on a daily basis : /
Anyways.......

at one of our MANY pit stops, Max & Liam caught this fish.....who was released back into the water shortly after.

While on the side of the road looking through the binoculars, Lance found this poor little guy stuck in a mud filled pipe

We saved his life! That should make up for being so disrespectful to the Elk earlier : )

Run Forrest, RUN

Upper falls of the Yellowstone River

Can you see all of the tiny people down there

Don't get too close to the edge daddy!

My brother & his cute family

Ewww....who is that chubbo? Not the best picture, but I always get crap for never posting pictures of myself....and you wonder why : )
And NO, we did not plan the matching outfits :-P

My sister and her husband Lance

Zowie throwing one of her many fits :)

Cute little Cheeser Brody : )

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!

The next day before we headed back to good ole' Utah, we drove to Idaho Falls and spent the day at the Zoo, the park, and then went for some yummy grub

Cheese......

On Memorial Day we visited my dad's grave with the kids and brought him some flowers

Miss you Dad!!

This is the ball my uncle Brad leaves on my dad's grave every year.....I gets me all choked up just thinking about it : (
My dad was just about the BIGGEST Baseball fan ever known to man, and he LOVED watching my brother play @ Alta.....so much in fact that when he died, they named Alta High's field after him.
I can only imagine how proud he is of Rylee : )

Quick update

Well Baseball season has begun, and if you have a child playing sports, you know how time consuming they can be. Monday through Saturday we either have practice or a game...but it is Oh' so worth it. I love being outdoor watching Rylee's cute little team :) Now you know why I haven't posted in awhile.

Here is a quick recap of what we've been up to.....

Baseball, Baseball, Baseball

Stud muffin' Rylee... Oh, and did I mention he is the team captain! :]

My poor little girl fell out of her wheelchair while on our walk....Talk about traumatic. We rushed her to the instacare but she was fine....just a little road rash, and a whole lot of tears.

These pictures don't do her injuries justice....it looked so much worse the day of.

This was our cute little nature walk....aren't the baby ducks adorable!

Can you see the baby Geese :)

Rylee & Zowie riding in the jeep @ Grandpa Batt's

Rob building a rock wall in the rain

Zowie swinging in the rain

Zowie sleeping (on the couch)

Our family loves going to the lake and camping, so I bought this cute little umbrella chair to take along for Zowie....and since she needs some trunk support, I also bought a harness thing to strap in the chair....well I guess I still think of Zowie as my little baby girl, because she is way too big for the whole get up :[ And here I am thinking "I am so cleaver"......any suggestions mom's ?

She's so tall the darn thing wont buckle

Just a tad too long!!!

Zowie despises getting her hair done, but such a cute picture, I had to post :)

Marlee, Cory & Brody came for a visit, and we got to have a sleepover with Marlee. She is completely obsessed with our dog and followed her the entire time. Cory & Steph, this girl needs a dog!!!

Zowie sleeping some more.....

Making necklaces with the cousins

Easter @ my mom's house

Little Simon

The hunt

Little Zowie

Zowie, Katelynn, & Harlie

Notice there are no pictures of Rylee on Easter...He and Rob were Turkey hunting : / But don't worry.... I don't think Rob will ever go hunting on a holiday again :] (If he knows whats good for him!)
